Summary edit
DescriptionSt Georges Chapel Windsor Castle.jpg |
English: St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, Berkshire. This huge chapel is one of the most visited areas of the Castle and is also one of the most beautiful. The Nave is dominated by this huge Great West Window (seen above), often claimed to be the third largest in the UK. While photography inside the Chapel is forbidden, I did manage to get a press pass to take a maximum of 5 pictures! The chapel dates from 1475 and is built in the richest Perpendicular Gothic style. The whole building is Cathedral size, at over 315ft (96m) in length! |
